I’ve always been confused as to what I love the most – playing cricket, riding motorcycles, doing yoga, or working with Digital Marketing.

Over years, life has taught me that life isn’t about singularity-one love or duality-right and wrong but about your own perspectives that continue to evolve with every experience I have.

Hence, I practice cricket in the mornings, work during the day, do my yoga in the evenings and ride over the weekend!

  1. Hi Kartik

Thanks for putting up such anice weblog. I intend to purchase the versys 650 by diwali, however I do have some lingering questions. Would be grateful if you could answer them as a firsthand owner

    (a) Which riding gear do you recommend. I see that you are wearing an Alpinestars. Could u share the variant which u are using and same about the helmet and the boots.

    (b) I also intend to pick up rear rack/ side cases for the bike. As u would be aware they are a hefty investment. Are they worth and can a pillion mount and dismount the bike easily with them fitted.

    (c) Your comments on the headlights.

    (d) Considering typical parking scenario in our cities and towns.. is center-stand a worthy investment.

    Thanking you in anticipation.

    • Hi Ishan,

Apologies for the delay. Below are the answers:

      a) Would recommend all weather if you are planning to buy the versys. I’m wearing is the Alpinestars T-GP Plus R Air Jacket. It’s not waterproof. Since it’s a tall bike, I got myself a woodland boot with a big heal. It helps πŸ™‚

      b) I still want to get the stock hard case ones but am not able to find it. Tried in US with no luck. However, for now, I’m using the ViaTerra Falcon which is enough for a week long trip. On thing is you’ll have to carry it around with you all the time.

      c) You can cruise at 80kmph even in low beam as long as no vehicles are coming from the opposite side. But, if there is a vehicle with a high beam, you see close to nothing. I ride from sunrise to sunset. So for me, not a big deal.

      d) The Side stand is very stable. Have not felt the need for a center stand especially since it costs close to 20K – don’t think it’s a great investment.
